THE PLAY BOOK by Sistah Dee

I can attest to the fact that in order for our circumstances to change, we must sometimes if not often change ourselves.  There is a personal responsibility to "self" to evolve and grow beyond yesterdays circumstances. When we find ourselves in a vicious cycle of bitterness, anger, depression or trouble, we must first examine where we are as players in these issues. 9 times out of 10 we are the leading man/woman in our own melodramas, we are the vehicle or portals in which these negative circumstances enter into our sanctum. Ever wonder why you keep finding yourself in the same situations, although the other players, places or time have changed? Look at the situation more closely and you'll see one particular factor is still present in these situations......YOU. I use the term "player" because it desribes one who is an active, willing participant, we can either co-sign or reject participation. Don't get me wrong, we all face troubles, situations and circumstances, these use to be my first, middle and last names. The real issue is when we allow them to control our lives, determine our outlook on life and those around us, and yet refuse to move toward change.

Praise God,  I'm at a very different stage in my life, a far cry from  the former "Drama" that plagued my life, I'd finally decided to change me. No longer playing the victim but surrendering myself to the Lord, to transform me and my circumstances into a story for His glory. The Bible teaches us that " Many are the affliction of the righteous, but that the Lord shall deliver us from them all" (Psalm 34:19). These afflictions can range from spiritual attacks from satan, to circumstances the Lord is using to redirect you to him or trials to mature you. However, we dont have to be held hostage to our circumstances. When we remain players, we remain in bondage to our cirumstances and our circumstances keep us on a treadmill of dread. We fail to operate in the wisdom of God and instead rely on the Lust of the Flesh, Lust of the Eye and the Pride of Life to get us out of our messes, sex, drugs, numerous relationships, our own understanding, etc. All of these prove keep us bound to our issues and often time compound the problem. God cannot bless our mess but he is willing to deliver us and heal us from ourselves, our circumstances and to mold and shape us into who he desires us to be. Be a participant in Gods program, get off the treadmill of dread and on to the road of abundant life through Christ Jesus. He loves you and is waiting for you. If you are singing the same old songs of woe, trade them in for songs of praise. If you change the plays (minset), you'll change the game (circumstances)
